East Coast Power

Running out of Competitive Edge Sports, East Coast Power has been a staple not only on the Zero Gravity circuit, but throughout the entire Mid-Atlantic Region. East Coast Power, led by Mark Campion, has quickly grown to be one of the most prominent names in grassroots basketball around the greater Philadelphia area. Starting in 2017 under the name “CES AAU” East Coast Power has grown in that time from 13 teams to now having 32 teams and growing. With their High School teams part of the HGSL, they’ve proven that they have what it takes to compete with the best teams in the region.

Mark and East Coast Power pride themselves on their ability to provide the best coaching and competition for all the athletes within their program, regardless of skill level or experience. Their goal is to help develop all the athletes in the program into the best basketball players and people that they can be. Although COVID-19 made this a challenge for everybody, Mark and ECP were able to adapt and find ways to still engage and teach the players within their program.

While everyone was at home not able to be in the gym during the beginning of the pandemic, ECP was putting on weekly zoom calls with their players, having coaches give workouts, drills, advice, etc. to the student athletes. They also set up guest speakers for their players/coaches throughout the extended stay at home period, which helped give coaches new ideas they could use to better develop their players, and give players new motivations to improve themselves the best way they could.

In the future, Mark see’s East Coast Power growing into a program of 45-50 teams, where their ideas and influence can be reached to as many student athletes as possible. After an incredibly successful summer tournament season, East Coast Power will be all over the ZG/CES fall circuit, and will always be a tough matchup against whoever they get matched up with. We’re excited to see what East Coast Power can do this fall, and where they’ll go moving forward!
